At EndorseMate, we help brands and athletes connect and create winning brand deals. We’re a startup founded in 2022 by a Bentley University D1 hockey player. Our platform offers brand deals, sponsorships, collaborations and more, empowering brands and athletes with a whole new way to partner.

These days, brands are making extensive investments in college athletes by entering into name, image, and likeness (NIL) market. There are projections for the NIL market to reach $1.14 billion.

Our team is small, smart and fully remote. We are poised to grow and take a good share of the NIL market.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a clever and creative Social Media Community Manager to help grow our presence on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Your primary focus will be to engage and grow our audience, creating and sharing content, and driving organic growth.

As the first Social Media Community Manager at EndorseMate, you’ll join a fully remote and small team, be able to share ideas, own all social media, and be part of a fast-growing company in a very cool market. The position is a perfect fit for a college athlete who knows how to create and post engaging content, including videos, images, photos and trending media. Get in on the ground level of a great company.

The hours for this role are very flexible based on your schedule. The position is unpaid with potential for compensation post imminent funding and/or through option pools.

Responsibilities:

• Manage engagement and communication across all social media communities, specifically LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, that engage our community, create dialogue, and aid in brand awareness

• Execute ongoing monitoring of brand social channels and relevant online conversations seeking high impact opportunities to expand brand awareness

• Gauge sentiment and inform strategic development of content by surfacing meaningful qualitative and quantitative insights from our communities

• Engage with influencers (college athletes) and the community through proactive outreach, including finding and joining appropriate Facebook groups

• Evolve, adapt, and improve our community engagement strategies and guidelines

• Ideate and execute unique, engaging social media activations to develop innovative custom content tailored to each channel/community

• Contribute and drive channel-specific programming calendars that cater to targeted audiences and ladder up to overall marketing and business goals

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in social media community management

• Outstanding communications skills — both written and verbal, with sensitivity to tone on varying social media platforms and content formats

• Willingness to go beyond basic tracking to analyze and draw meaningful hypotheses

• Authentic knowledge of sports and college athletes

• Deep understanding of current social, content, and influencer marketing practices and activations within the industry

• Strong copywriting skills, video and imagery creation abilities is a plus
